El frances de 32 años de edad ganó el rally de punta a punta e igualo el record de 26 victorias que poseía Carlos Sainz, en cinco años de carrera alcanzo lo que al madrileño le llevó quince.
Ademas "Seb" gano el Rally de Alemania por quinta oportunidad consecutiva, conviertiendose en el ganador absoluto de este rally. "Es fantástico, mi quinta victoria consecutiva aquí y la 26ª en el mundial, y todo eso ante un público tan fantástico especialmente los muchos aficionados que han venido desde mi país,"
El español Daniel Sordo en su primer rally como numero dos del Kronos Rally Team termino segundo. Ha sido una gran batalla con Citroën, pero no tenía opciones reales. Ahora debo ganar en Finlandia la próxima semana."
